Hello runners!
Important update: The administration communicated that the girls can not be taken out of class to watch the boys race. They did offer to have a bus take the girls to the meet after 5th period but most athletes said that they will find their own ride. With that said, any girl who is not going to the meet needs to stay on campus during 6th period on Wednesday and must attend all of their academic classes. League finals are just around the corner and we have a major change from years past. The BOHS girls and boys teams are now in different leagues and will be racing on different days. North Hills League finals will be held at Yorba Regional Park on Tuesday 11/4 and Crestview the following day. On 11/4 the girls team will be dismissed from class at 10:55 and depart BOHS at 11:10, the boys team will follow the same time schedule the following day. On Wednesday the the girls will also go to the Crestview meet to support the boys team and have practice. On the girls side we look forward to winning our first league title since 2006 by sweeping all three levels. The boys look to hold off Canyon who is currently ranked #1 in the state for CIF DII. The girls team is currently ranked 13th in CIF-SS DIII and the boys are ranked #1 in the universe (#1 in the state for DIII). I sent an email to the girl's parents asking for two volunteers at the meet to help at the finish line. In addition to needing two volunteers on Tuesday we also need two on Wednesday. If you are able to help you will be relieved to watch your athlete race. Additionally, we would like to have a trail bike to make sure all athletes remain safe during the race.
