Bus departure: 1:30 p.m. Prelims: Friday, May 1 2015, 3:00 p.m. at Tustin High School Finals: Friday, May 8 2015, at 5:00 p.m at Tustin High School Important notes please read: This year we moved to a 4 team league and a number of events will be going straight to finals. All F/S and JV field events will complete their prelims AND finals on May 1st, the F/S and JV 3200 final will be run on May 1st, all relays got straight finals which will be contested on Friday, May 8th. To advance to league finals in races that are run in lanes at prelims you must win your race or be one of top 9 finishers in that race. Examples for races that are in lanes, 9 total advance to finals: 3 heats of the 110m hurdles. The 3 heat winners plus the next 6 fastest times advance 2 heats of the 110m hurdles. The 2 heat winners plus the next 7 fastest times advance Examples for the 800 and 1600, 12 total advance to finals: 2 heats of the 1600: The top 3 in each heat plus the next 6 top times 3 heats of the 1600: The top 3 in each heat plus the next 3 top times Lower level field events: 4 attempts on May 1st act as the prelims and finals. Varsity field events (long jump is the only varsity field event with a prelim): 3 attempts at prelims the top 9 marks advance to finals. All other varsity field events: If the field event is a straight final there will be no competition on May 1st. Varsity field event athletes will get 3 attempts on May 8th. The top nine athletes based on those marks will be reseeded from lowest mark to the best mark and receive an additional 3 attempts. Heatsheets for prelims Meet schedule.
