This weekend Esperanza will put on an "all-comers" meet. This is an event where anyone can come and compete including your parents (you should seriously challenge them, you'll remember it for the rest of your life). This is a great meet to go to as an early indicator of the type of shape you are in. Additionally, the marks generated from this meet will have a large influence on who is entered into our first official meet of the season.
Our first official meet of the season is the Cougar Classic held at Azusa Pacific University and they limit the number of athletes that we can enter in each event. We are allowed 3 athletes/level/event except for the triple jump where they only accept 2 athletes/level and they only have Varsity and F/S. So, if you have your sights set on running the 100m there are only 6 openings/gender.
TIME SCHEDULE IS TENTATIVE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF ATHLETES
IN EACH EVENT AND WILL PROGRESS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE IF POSSIBLE. IF AN
EVENT HAS NO ENTRIES, WE WILL IMMEDIATELY SEED THE NEXT EVENT.
