Orange County Championships

To start I want to say CONGRATULATIONS! The new California Interscholastic Federation, Southern Section (CIF-SS) rankings were published and the boy's team remains #1 for CIF-SS DIII (also, #1 for DIII in the State) and the girls moved up to #7 in CIF-SS DIII. This is certainly the highest collective ranking our program has had in some time and may be the highest ever (historians feel free to email me).

1. What is OCC? The Orange County Championships is now in its 49th year of existence. Orange County is arguably the most competitive county in the country and the boys team is the two-time defending champions looking to win a third consecutive title (did you know that "three-peat" is trademarked?).  
2. When is OCC? It is now a two day meet held this year on Friday 10/16 and Saturday 10/17. 
3. Where is OCC held? At Irvine Regional Park on the same course that we had League Preview. Parking is $3-5 and traffic will be terrible. When arriving at the park please allow for 30 minutes minimum from the time you near the park to the time you get to the start line. 
4. Who races OCC? Any eligible athletes.
5. What level, day and time do I race? Boys frosh, soph, JV, Girls F/S and JV all race on Friday. The varsity teams race on Saturday morning; click here for specifics. 
6. If we are racing on two days when do I go to the meet? All non-varsity athletes will race on Friday and then return on Saturday for a long run and then to support our team. Varsity athletes will stay at BOHS on Friday and do their pre-race workout and then take the bus on Saturday morning to the meet.
7. What's the bus schedule?  On Friday 10/16 we will have 2 buses leaving BOHS at 12:30 p.m. and 2 buses returning for BOHS at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday 10/17 we will have 2 buses leaving BOHS for Irvine Regional Park at 6:50 a.m and 2 buses returning for BOHS at noon.
